- For everyone’s safety:
- Unvaccinated and not fully vaccinated individuals, including children, must wear a mask inside the Library, its meeting rooms, and auditorium.
- Fully vaccinated* individuals can go unmasked, but may choose to wear a mask.
- NEW CDC recommendation: To maximize protection from the Delta variant and prevent possibly spreading it to others, wear a mask indoors in public if you are in an area of substantial or high transmission. San Diego County is an area of high transmission.
- Wearing a mask is most important if you have a weakened immune system or if, because of your age or an underlying medical condition, you are at increased risk for severe disease, or if someone in your household has a weakened immune system, is at increased risk for severe disease, or is unvaccinated.

- Children under 2 years old and people with certain medical conditions are not required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
*Fully vaccinated means two weeks or more after the 2nd dose of Pfizer/Moderna vaccine or 2 weeks after a single dose of J&J vaccine
In addition:
- Plexiglass barriers have been installed at the front service desk and between the public computers.
- All Library rooms are open including the small study rooms, the Library meeting room and the Library conference room.
- No open containers of food or drink are allowed inside the Library. Drinks with a lid are permitted.
- Returned Library items will be disinfected.
- Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are available for use throughout the Library.
- Computer workstations will be available on a first come/first serve basis with a three hour per day time limit, and will be disinfected after each use. WiFi is available throughout the Library.
- Curbside Pickup of library items will continue to be available during open Library hours.
