Established on November 20th, 1959 by the United Nations General Assembly with the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, World Children’s Day is a time to celebrate children around the world and promote children’s welfare. It also commemorates the anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child on November 20th, 1989.
For us at Herrick Library, it is also a time to promote children’s health and wellness. We have a wealth of resources available at the library for children and their loved ones, including:
